Vac N Sack vacuum systems are an inexpensive way to start your own business in Australia cleaning out roof insulation for houses that are about to be installed with new insulation under the Federal government $1600 grant. The air powered systems entry point is powered by the Drum Vac, an industrial strength vacuum system incorporating the Vac N Sack method.

These systems are air powered which means they need an air compressor or 100 - 120 cfm.

The Drum Vac is a pneumatic vacuum system which means it is powered by compressed air.

Compresssed air vacuum systems have many advantages over all other types of vacuum systems. Read more here.

This system consists of the power drum and the capture drum with the hessian sack suspended inside.

The capture drum is a re-inforced steel oil drum that has been converted to allow the hessian sack to be suspended inside and the vacuum power from the power drum travels through the drum and down the 30 metres of suction hose to the roof cavity or gutters depending what the system is used for.
Inside the capture drum is a bag displacement saucer that attaches to the 63mm inlet power transfer pipe. This prevents the hessian sack from being sucked into the power drum.

Air compressors can be hired at about $100 per day or a second hand one can be purchased for about $3,500.00.
